I know nothing about Coalport pieces. Any tips for descriptive words when listing this? For example should I say, "numbered" in the title? Didn't know how important those numbers on the base would be to a potential buyer. Also is the "Dover" signature the person who painted the landscapes? Thanks for taking a look.

If I were selling this I would stress Coalport, Hand Painted, Raised (or lavish) Gilding plus Antique and an approximate date (1891-1920). Perhaps Dover is the scene. If artist signed it would normally be in the landscape. Looks like a high quality item.

Scratching my head here, we don’t have a Mount Dover.

On the back it almost looks like "hg. (?) Dover". But agree that these castle scenes are similar. Perhaps near Dover. Thanks!

I'm going to go with "near Dover". Thank you for the links!

Thank you for those helpful keywords, Chinoiserie.

I appreciate everyone's help with this.

I surmise that’s ht rather than mt. As in height or heights.
