Good evening hope this is the correct please to ask, my aunt bought a Clifford nickson painting from the national trust years ago, we would like to sell now and would like to know the average value, I can post some photos if I know what to do
Welcome to the Forum, Folkstone123! We don’t give values here, but will usually help finding info and comparable work. https://www.antiquers.com/threads/making-a-post-and-uploading-pictures.16038/ Above is instructions for photos. Must be 1 mb or less. If you need help to resize, just ask. Also please give Size and show back of work.
Yes I would like to see your photos of your Clifford Nickson painting. In addition to photos of the front, please post the size, the texture (if any), the back of the canvas, and any history you have of it. I am curious to know how much did you pay for it from the Trust? INH is correct though, we don't ordinarily tend to try to "value" an item because it's difficult depending upon location, access, too many factors. Thanks.
If you are having problems to resize, here’s some tips: https://www.antiquers.com/threads/resizing-photos-on-i-phone.35097/
Here’s one auctioned by National Trust https://www.bidsquare.com/online-auctions/charleston/clifford-nickson-1903-1993-oil-painting-1161672
All of Nickson's "studio art" was left to the National Trust and appears to have been gradually sold off.
There are two paintings from an auction in September of last year on live auctioneers. One sold for $60 and the other for $40. You can see them here (subscriptions are free): https://www.liveauctioneers.com/en-...IFFORD NICKSON&sort=-relevance&status=archive

Hi sorry I am not very good with this yet, I will have to ask someone to help resize the photos, she paid £50 off the national trust, it still has the sticker on the back, thanks for your help
If possible would someone kindly send me their email, and I can send the photos on that, I've just learnt how to do that, maybe easier, then you can put the photos on here for me, thank you
@Folkstone 123 you can send the pics to yourself over your cell phone to decrease the size, then when you upload them here, please check the "Full Size" button so the photos will be large enough to see well.
Javier, your post has been reported! National Trust is short for National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty. It protects, manages and looks after such places. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Trust_for_Places_of_Historic_Interest_or_Natural_Beauty
