Clay wine jug.

    My guess would be a modern decorator piece not made to fool anyone; the interior looks like brand new red pottery. Someone who actually knows ceramics will be along shortly.

    I'd agree. It "looks" old, but the even application of the finish, and lack of wear, indicates it's a contemporary decorator item, as already mentioned.

    I'm very like your opinion.That is cool jug for me ,unfortunately no smell from wine.
