Featured Circular embroidered items, use?

Question mark was written on the packet in the Charity shop today so I bought them. I’m assuming something is put into them as they open at the back but what? 3 and a half inches diameter. Thanks for any suggestions.

That could work Laura. There are 6 of them.
I thought maybe cotton wool or tissues could be put in them for cleaning off makeup but they are rather small.

 

Yes, wine glass slippers. Never seen them before.

 

I’ve actually got some of these. I bought little sets of embroidered ones in Hong Kong in the eighties. They came with dimly little cocktail napkins.
Yup, they’re still in the packaging. Can’t bear to use them.

 

I've seen these before. Great idea, but not sure I could bear to get wine stains on them which defeats the purpose .

 

Could use them just for white wine I suppose but I suspect they will go and live in my bits box.

Yes, definitely for wine glasses... I've never hear the term "slippers" before...LOVE it!
You could put a little net poupourri sachet inside! No wine stain!

I would like to use them for wine glasses to see the peoples reaction as they would be a novelty but lavender drawer sachets is a great idea.
