Chuckle of the day for glassies

    From a professional B&M auction house - oh dear! I hope it's just a typo and they missed the word 'style' out.

    How can you tell this is "Lalique 'style'" please? And not the actual Lalique?

    Because Lalique never made a dragonfly bowl like this. But most obvious when you handle the bowl (not easily visible in the pic here though) is the 2" long signature on it which is impossible to miss that says Barolac (the actual maker)

    I hope no one who wants Lalique gets taken. A quick Google of Barolac Dragonfly Bowl turns up multiple examples. No prices, but I'm guessing it retails for about $200. Pretty bowl though.

    I couldn't enlarge the photo so I couldn't see the signature, but it surely doesn't look like Lalique.
