Christofle Hotel (?) Silverplated Jug

    Another Christofle item added to the collection (obviously not polished yet)

    On the Christofle site it says
    The balance stamp, the silversmith's hallmark, was used by Maison Christofle from 1844 to 1935. Since 1935, the manufacturer's mark has been represented by an illustration of the knight from Chess surrounded by the initials "OC".
    But this one has both marks. Is that common on the 1935-1983 items?

    and because of the H, I think mine could also have been from a hotel, but I didn't manage to find that logo. Any idea?
    And is this a specific type of jug? (based on shape and 0.500 L)

    Hot water possibly.

    That very deco logo is HP. Perhaps a hotel called something Palace.
