Going through tree decorations and thought a few here would like it... sterling snowflake a little over 2 inches in diameter.
That's perfectly lovely!!!! I love it and how intricate it is !! And just last night I dug out our sterling Cartier 5" star tree topper, that my parents gave each of us once we were married!!! Yikes....that makes it roughly 50+ years old....even had to polish it!! It has a hook on the back to hang it..........
Pretty. Gorham put out a line of Sterling Snowflake ornaments starting in the mid 1980s. It should be marked. Reed and Barton also put out sterling ornaments, but not sure they did any snowflakes. I have some for sale in the $30 - 40 range, depending on detail. I've sold a couple.
I just sold a Gorham sterling ornament - one of the 12 Days ones. People use them as pendants instead of on the tree. Get that star hanging somewhere; it's too nice to be sitting in a box!
@Aquitaine @clutteredcloset49 My snowflake is not marked as I made it and at that time it was illegal to mark metal content/type without a registered trademark.
I'll see if I can find some other photos and post in the Jewelry thread, also try to my son to photograph others that have never been photographed.
