Famous for her sculptures of horses, California-born artist Deborah Butterfield today uses fallen branches to create her works, which are then cast in bronze. Dazzle dates from 1990, when she was mainly working with pieces of scrap metal she found in the vicinity of her ranch in Bozeman, Montana

    Estimate: $200,000-300,000
    21 February, New York

The beauty of Lian Zhang’s 2023 painting In the wake of her echo is tinged with unease, recalling the uncanny art of the Surrealists. Krug Clos du Mesnil 1983 is a champagne of rare heritage. The modest walled plot from which it originates, in the village of Mesnil-sur-Oger, dates back to 1698, and since the 1970s has been producing grapes for some of Krug’s finest vintages. The 1983 was praised by critic Richard Juhlin for its ‘massive elegance and feminine frivolity’

    Estimate: $8,500-12,000

Dante Marioni’s Yellow with Red Vessel Display, from 2003, is a dazzling showcase of his artful creations. A dozen examples in yellow glass — from cylinder, trumpet and beaker vases to classical urns — are adorned with vivid red trimmings in the form of handles, fluting and stylised ferns

    Estimate: $12,000-18,000
    23 February, New York
