CHRISTIAN DIOR Earrings 1955? Patent Date

Good morning/afternoon/evening fellow humans. These Christian Dior earrings have a patent date of 1955 (2733491). The patent refers to the type/design of clip. Does this mean these were made in 1955?

 

If I'm not mistaken the date revers to the ear piece....and the mfg could be any time after that ..

I'd say stylistically more 1985-1990 than 1955, and probably more towards the end than toward the beginning.

 

I think late 80s to early 90s. I also DEEPLY covet them.

So mine have 2733491 also, but are 8 sided squarish, with large pearl and 8 rectangle crystals and 8 set round crystals .Is it 1955 or 1980s?

 

What year are they?

Yep - late 80s to early 90s.
