I found this strange gouache on paper once in an antique book store. I bought it because I think it is an intreguing piece.

On the flag, that the Grim Reaper is holding, there is the word Cholera. It is signed with an unreadable signature and it has a date: '66. I think that stands for 1866, when there was a massive outbreak of cholera in Western Europe during the fourth cholera pandemic (1863–1875).

Am I right it was made in 1866?
Was it ment to be art? Maybe an illustration for something?
What kind of art style is this?
Has anyone seen simular kind of weird pictures?

    The whole picture

I agree that date is most likely, and I would think illustration too. Gruesome but beautiful.
And a poignant reminder of what can happen with today's pandemic if we don't follow instructions. They had no choice, we do.
Can't make anything of the signature, but the landscape looks Dutch. I take it you found it in the Netherlands?

Assume yours a reproduction as a known work. According to the internet, painting by unknown author, assumed German.

It looks like there was a cholera epidemic/pandemic going on in 1966 too.

This doesn't look like a 1966 work though, and the only part of Europe that was affected was the Soviet Union.

You’ll have to test yours in ink. More likely to be the artists though.

The signature seems to have a Middle Eastern feel to it.

I am researching this Alexander Ver Huell at the moment. With some imagination the signature on the picture could be his!
