This is an older piece. I started to polish it up and then realized that the patina might be appreciated (I prefer the bright silver though). The stones are coral and turquoise. I need some help with the character marks on the backside. I thought at first Qing dynasty - late 19th but this isn't anything I am good at! Sorry for the picture quality. The lighting right now is horrible! IMG_3405 (1).jpg IMG_3407.jpg IMG_3406.jpg IMG_3409.jpg IMG_3404.jpg

Wow, Laura, you lucky girl! It looks Uygur to me, or another Central Asian culture. There is a small chance it is Mongolian.
The Uygurs are a Turkic minority in Western China.

Thank you - I have a few more pieces that are very similar from the same client. Would the stamps indicate purity or workshop? I am having a hard time trying to find any silver information for Uyghur area.

Here are three more pieces from this client. One is likely Nepal with old Chinese enameled lock. The long one with the horse is interesting. Haven't found a mark on it yet. IMG_3412.jpg IMG_3411.jpg IMG_3410.jpg

    It is Chinese.
The one with the spirit lock is Chinese too, it is beautiful.
The other one is from Nepal. Sorry, second photo.

They are all good necklaces, but the Uygur(?) one is the really special one.

Thank you Any Jewelry! Is the necklace with the horse considered a toggle necklace?

In the image of the mark (needs rotating 90 deg ccw) the two characters on the right reading down is the Chinese mark for high grade silver.

The mark on the left looks like 萬 (Wan) but I can't make out how it fits with the other character below.

Do note Chinese marks for silver are not always true and you find them on non silver items as well.

Doesn't toggle refer to a type of clasp? I've seen necklaces with dangles attached to the toggle clasp, but this isn't it.
I'd call it a Chinese ethnic necklace.

Thank you. It tested as sterling but we do not have a test for pure silver.
