25p at the car boot yesterday. The guy was giving it away. I'm not sure why he was even there because he wasn't making any money at those prices.

It is broken but does appear to be hand signed on the base. The mark corresponds with kangxi yongsheng. It looks like it could be genuine to my eye untrained eye. :pompous:

22cm tall. I'm thinking that the lid doesn't actually go with the vase.

My reaction is not Kangxi but antique and maybe late 19c but I’m not expert.

Chinoi-You've hit the elusive nail on the head ! I'm a Yank,so the classic Brit Boot ritual's a complete mystery to me.As someone in the UK,do you have an inkling why folks get up at 6 in the morning to make 25p ?
My un-scientific theory is,people are just hungry (esp after this mad pandemic !) to socialize, interact, have a bit of a chat.
No-one gets up at he crack of dawn just to make 25p (in their right mind that is).
...That's my 25p's worth of human psychology !

    Barking isn't it

I'd get more satisfaction smashing it than getting 25p for it

Cool. Thank you. Here's a photo of the lid. It may never have had a foo dog on it. The mark looks right though

For 25p,would be a darn fun item to practice restoration on.There's lots of vids out there & don't think you'd be losing much if you botched it.
Charlie-Agree,if the Tooth Fairy (Sleep Fairy) offered me 25p to get up early,I'd tell her to @#%*^ -politely of course !

Many glues yellow and turn brown over time. Might have looked right at one time.
