Picked this up on the way home for a quid. I've seen a set of three similar on ebay USA described as vintage and one similar on Etsy described as ming. I am clueless on anything pre 1800s to be honest but I think the porcelain on it looks a bit older than vintage. It is 18cm in diameter.

It's what I like to call a "quick work" piece. Very decorative, but gives the impression that it was decorated speedily so one could produce many pieces rather than taking time with detail and finish and produce fewer but more finely done pieces. I can see why you think it could be "older" but my guess would be 20th c, perhaps first third, but it really is just a guess.

Try using Canton or Canton ware as search terms.

I thought canton ware was brightly coloured pieces influenced by famille rose.

  8. Hi @Chinoiserie - date-wise I think it looks like a later 19th century example.

With eBay its a hit and miss. If you search ebay with "Canton Blue White" filtered by "sold" you can see a few of these. A nice find *thumbs up*
