Chinese or Japanese Porcelain Mark Translation

    Can anybody translate this for me? It is on a bowl.

    According to gotheborg.com, it is Japanese and says Shibata. Late 20th century.

    Originally Japanese, but Shibata has had a factory in Shenzhen, China, for over ten years.
