    Found amongst my "stuff".
It has been cropped (a lot!) so there are no signatures of any kind.
    About 5" x 7".
Google image search was of no help.
    Any use in listing it?

It's adorable!! The image alone should sell it (not that I know anything about selling on ebay or elsewhere, but still....)

Thanks, it is sweet, isn't it?
I do wish I knew if it was part of a fable or something though.

Awww! Is that a baby dragon? Love the little pink nose!

I bet it is. Some kind of folktale.

I was thinking it was a frog. :D

I would guess that there is some significance to the double gourd shaped container behind him and the straw hat too. They look like they are floating in air?

I think those are on the beach. I don't think they are floating.

 That might be more obvious with the rest of the image still intact.

Now what do you make of the pile of clothing (?) behind the fisherman? At first I thought he was in a very contorted position. Then that there was supposed to be another person back there. Now it's just a pile of cloaks and shoes?

No, when you see it in hand, it looks more like the figure is just sitting in an awkward position.
You can see that his foot is in the shoe.

I was just looking at this with a loupe, and I think this was done on woven silk.

I'll take your word for it. After all, that's where I started.

I thought it was a frog too but now it DOES look like a baby dragon creature. :p

Dragon certainly makes more sense, but I keep waffling back and forth.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

It's a lovely picture - You should be able to sell it.

Could well be a fisherman's hat. I wish I knew if it was Chinese, or if it is Japanese.

I guess I am incorrect, no birds in your pic :(
