Have a set of 5 cups, that I cannot determine if they are Chinese or Japanese. Each cup has a different picture on the front but the same writing on the back. No markings on the base. These measure 3 3/8" tall and are 2" wide. Thanks

Well I will hazard a guess at Japanese.
I'm basing it on the style of the cup and the heavier ceramic.
But it is just a guess.

I would guess Japanese because they remind me of kokeshi dolls. If you are listing these, a kokeshi reference might be something to include in a title.

Thanks for all of the help. Used the kokeshi doll reference and found a set of these listed on Ebay that had Otagiri labels on them.

    Hi,
When I first glanced at them I saw different lamp bases, decided to have more coffee before posting.

Those are cute cups. Otagiri doesn't tend to sell for a lot, but they made some pretty things.
