Is this something I should do further research on for resale? Unsigned, but has a red stamp. Seems somewhat vintage (1960s or 1970s?) from construction. Chinese? Japanese? Outer frame 12 x 16". Thanks.

It's framed like it came from Japan. Beyond that dunno.

Looks more contemporary to me too. Post 1950. I’ve got one of those brass hanger things in that same design on a frame here. It is stamped Hong Kong on the back. It’s a nice painting that I have assumed is Chinese but could be Japanese I guess. You’d think the Hong Kong hardware would make it more likely to be Chinese though. Yours isn’t marked on the brass right?

Back also looks quite new. I wouldn’t be surprised if even 70s-90s. Here is a shot of the hardware on mine. 7C126E50-C0A4-49D8-B8D9-78D24DB6A832.jpeg

No "Hong Kong" on mine. I've definitely had other vintage pieces with this type hardware that were 1950s/60s, but I think it was used beyond those decades, so could be even more modern as suggested.

Just didn't know if this kind of thing had any resale value, or the fact unsigned means it was more of a tourist item. Thanks for taking a look.
