This is sealed up and is filled with some kind of liquid - I'm assuming alcohol of some type? The enamel decoration is raised off the surface. I think the figure depicted could be Zha ng Guolao? Can anyone tell me what's in my mystery jar? There are chinese character markings impressed in the base of the jar that are hard to make out. It's about 7 1/2" high.

It is a Zhejiang Province Shaoxing "daughter wine" (HuaDiao wine) bottle.
It is made in 1996. (丙子年).

    The front is Longevity god.

You probably can open it and drink it...... 22 years rice wine.
If it sealed well and well kept, the taste should be very nice.

Made in Zhejiang province Shaoxing city Yuequan wine factory. Pretty famous factory and it is kept for 22 years. It will be sold a fair good price in China if it well stored.
For an empty bottle it will cost 10-500 RMB, if there's well kept wine in it, it will worth 10-10000 RMB.

Wow! It's definitely unbroken and still full. I can't speak to how it's been kept as I just picked it up at a thrift store a few days ago. Might keep for my own enjoyment :)

Depend on the temperature and humidity it is stored.
We never know until it is opened.
But it definitely worth more if it is kept unopened.
