Thank you in advance. I'm not used to this area of antiques. I'm was also having trouble with the file. So images had to be cropped.

    Welcome mewgaming.
It is a beauty, looks Japanese, rather than Chinese. It is not antique though, and not something a collector would buy either.
But it has decorative value. How big is it? Is it handpainted?

In the 80s ( I say that a lot, dont I ? ) these were all the rage.Probably from then. In fact, I have a big red one somewhere around here from then !

It is a Chinese fan which can be seen from the Chinese characters and their meaning because the phrase is a typical transitional Chinese phrase that any Chinese people well know.

a couple of decades old, mass produced.
My local antique mall here in the greater Seattle sells for $20

Hello, @lpan9 -- Were you away from this site for a while? I remember you from before, and I see that you have recently replied to several older posts. I hope some of the original posters come back to see your replies.

I clearly said my local antique mall still sells it for $20, because it is not antique, just mass-produced printed, and still for sale there for months

because I always buy from esty.com , rubylane.com and local antique malls, I have very good market prices in mind. I do not wish to mention some of those super high prices on etsy because those dreamers prices will make items stay there for 10 years without any buyers

prices based on experience are hard to explain or prove. If you have similar experience, you would not need it explained. If not, explanation would not be able to convince anyone.

Maybe you would translate for the many of us who are not Chinese people?

this is not a site for values , & tossing them around , even with great experience..can be misleading to others.

You may have valid opinions....but your prices may not be valid everywhere, all the time, for everyone !

I am telling myself that ordinary people certainly wish to know their items value. Only would business people want to hide prices to lure buyers into a high price.
