Featured Chinese Embroidery Pieces

    Pardon me if any of these are repeats, but thought I'd share a few Chinese silk embroideries and see if anyone knows what they say, if they're modern or not, etc, or even if you like the handiwork as much as I do. I know the two are "100 boys" scenes.

    These seem older to me than the others; they are darker and the backs of the frames weathered. Could simply be poorer storage, though.

    The embroidered pieces (children) are cute souvenirs, not much age, maybe 1980s. The lion is great.:playful:
    The others with the muted colours are painted on silk. A lot of these came out of China in the 70s and 80s, some have age. Although the quality of the painting varies, these have more artistic value than the souvenir embroideries. There is a market for both styles.
    I always like those peony paintings, and have a few myself. Mine are older than these though.
