I note there’s has been some previous discussions regarding throne and also x-frame chairs. I bought this chair a few years ago. It was listed as Chinese baby chair (because of the child size) But it’s clearly a smaller size throne (or even a bit zitan looking) chair. It is H:18.8,L:25.9 and W:13.7 inches (48cm high,66cm long and 35cm wide) What are your thoughts on age? Any other comments? I know you can also order new miniature size throne chairs. But this clearly has some age. Thanks and keep well

It is lovely, but it looks like a 'howdah' or elephant saddle seat to me. Possibly Burma (Myanmar) or Thailand.

I do feel a little silly and narrow- minded now. Thank you again for your help (I live,I l learn...) The funny thing is I also have a old camel chair (so I really should have made some connection) A2DBC8EF-49A5-4369-8C02-4D5B89D6DDB5.jpeg

That's got to be it- my first thought was a pedestal or stand for a saint or such that a lot of Spanish families keep in their yards?

And when you arrive on an elephant (as you do:playful:) you can say "howdy!" from your howdah.
