    I posted this before butvit vanished. I picked this up today. Not an awful amount online regarding it.

    Your first post mentions that it is "missing a lid." But this does not look like it ever had a lid. Are you talking about a different item? I am also suspicious of the color. Looks artificially applied to me. Certainly does not appear to have occurred naturally.

    Yes i was starting to become suspicious myself. Is there any way of testing for bronze? I suppose I could polish it and see what it looks like in 20 years

    Yes I bought two items
    One a cloisonne lidded pot without a lid. And this being the other one.
