    Is it "sculpted?" Did you happen to get a picture of the underside of one of the corner designs with the fish? I'm curious because the shading on the fish and flower petals looks "painted."

    No, the only underside picture is the last one. It’s a very appealing piece but I have no experience in textile so hard to tell if it’s something more special or not.

    based on the under side, it feels not hand knotted. Hand knotted will not have clearly defined under side patterns. You can pull a little hair to burn, and compare the burning smell of human hair to determine it is wool. If it smells like burning paper, then it is made of tree fiber which is what paper is made of too
