    hi folks

bought this lovely old chinese tea bowl in a mixed tea bowl/cup lot at local auction, suprisingly well hidden of its full glory

    https://www.easyliveauction.com/cat...eriors-sale-please-see-our-website-f-lot-900/

the others aren't bad either, but this one's a beauty and apart from a bit of paint loss, few small hairlines, nice condition

thinking its gotta be 18th century, but thought i'd share and see if you agree

    any thoughts or info appreciated

That English bowl looks new hall.

I’ve seen that cup with the inside little decoration, I’m trying to think who.

@charlie cheswick, my Mom was collecting those little (demi tasse??) blue & white cups & saucers for ME when I was just a kid....maybe 10 or 11 y/o.......BUT I DON'T remember if she ever said a specific name for them....must have had a small collection of 12-15.........think I also sold them a couple of moves ago....for how much I have no recollection!!!

A little sweetie. Yes, it is Chinese, from Fujian Province, made mostly for export to Southeast Asia.
In Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia this ware is known as Kitchen Qing, more specifically Batik Ware, because it looks like the colour splashes on batik textiles, which used to be mostly blue and white.

    Thanks Aj, very helpful.

the saucer it came with looks to be the same type of ware, but a different pattern so not sure if they go together
