Chest of drawers and sideboard 18th century?

    Saw these and snapped some quick pics, the dovetails look awfully small though they might indicate good craftsmanship.

    Photos are terrible I'm sorry I was in a rush hah

    What does the auction catalogue describe them as ?

    First ones look like stained pine which was popular in the late 80`s when stripped.

    Pic 3 looks like evidence of worm.
    Give them a good tap or shake, if there is dust on the floor walk away.

    Hard to say, but what Davey said if there's active wood worm. It's old, whatever it is. Those dovetails are hand cut for sure, and it has at least some original hardware. @verybrad might have a better guess about what it is.

    Was a little confused at first but see there are two pieces. Both are at least mid to late 19th century. Beyond that, pics are not sufficient to evaluate.

    Haha fid :facepalm: I should have taken my time. We were in a rush to go and had to run round taking photos basically. They were certainly old. The brass was real worn down

    I'm trying to get the hang of furniture a bit more.

    I plan on taking my time in the future
