    Hello

I have acquired this chest of drawers and I am looking for some information on them, if that would be possible.

The original feet appear to have been cut off and wheels have been put on. There is also lots of areas of damage and I’m aware the handles are not the original and that there is a lot of wear and tear/damage to the chest of drawers.

I was curious on the age of them really…. I am in England

many thanks if anyone can help.

I would say late Victorian, early Edwardian bow front 4 drawer chest.
It would have had round wooden drawer knobs like these.

I might even go a little later. It’s an English 18th Century revival piece from the early 20th Century, faced in mahogany veneer with pine secondary. I’d like to see a picture of the drawer hardware on the inside; many of these pieces had original hardware like we see in the photos, but wood knobs are also a possibility.
A handsome enough piece but not terribly in demand on our side of the Atlantic. With the damage indicated I’d expect $100 more or less at auction in my part of the US Midwest.

Thank you so much for the reply! although one thing I’m not sure on are the wooden knobs as I have attached a picture of the holes for the original handles inside the drawers.

Here is a picture of the inside of the drawers. Thanks very much for the info. It’s nice to finally know some info on it.

Yep, these are not the original pulls after all, but they were not wood knobs, either. Thanks for the photo!

I think it’s earlier, the replacement handles are confusing it. Would have had dangle demilune handles.
