Charity Donation, Unusual Vase Marked Rooke, Any information please?

I have received today this rather unusual vase marked ROOKE, on a quick google I have found some information but wondered if anyone with any knowledge of this kind of item could give me advice on this item from the pictures below.

The vase is 22x7x13cm and weighs 1.8kg so its a fair old size.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Martin........perhaps it is this artist......several pieces show his mark....some written out in full, some with initials.
