Chair Maker? Age?

    I recently delivered my Grandmother's chair for repair and reupholstering.

    I'm hoping someone here can help me identify it.

    I know it dates back to the early 70s and I believe that it is much older. It's original stuffing was down fill and horsehair. It's back section reclines, front section is fixed, and it has a matching ottoman.

    I hoped their would be some maker's mark exposed during the repairs but know such luck. What was exposed was a UNIQUE mechanism for the reclining back. A flat coiled torque spring which I've pictured here.
