First the pitcher - I'm a sucker for these green/blue things... Not signed but has stilt marks on the base. 5" tall, about 4" across the top. Studio pottery probably but any ideas where from? I suppose the dark red clay might be a clue...

2nd is a bit stranger I guess - is there a name for this style/technique? Seems to be patched together from various pieces with different finishes/colors. Don't think I've see one put together this way before. Bought as an educational piece, for myself :) About 6" across - signed on the base but - starts with a D...ends in a Y... I think.

The pitcher looks like Canadian pottery.

Thanks Janet, in fact I had just run across Blue Mountain when doing a little googling on the pitcher....perhaps.

I LOVE that 2nd one,Aaron. I think it says"day" so I looked around and theres a pottery called Flynn Day that does some very avant garde stuff (if you look past the cute animals thats obviously their bread and butter). Just a thought.

I think the style is called ceramic patchwork. Have seen your signature.

Looking more closely that is not the same as yours. Sorry. The patchwork ceramics I saw had material on it.

Not quite right for Blue Mountain, imo. Looks more Belgian.
