    Hi
I found this old pot. Which evidently has been used as a planter to keep plants inside. It’s a beautiful pot. The white lines (design) is slightly raised. Gives a good finish.
    Flowers make it unique.

Is this from a particular region?

Pretty. Technically a "cachepot" in which a plant in another container (no doubt less attractive, but with drainage holes this one does not have) is placed.

Why are jardinieres called jardinieres and this is a cachepot? Almost nothing has a drain hole unless it's a flower pot with a saucer. Just wondering.

Good question, janet. I've usually thought of this smaller size as a cachepot and the larger size as a jardiniere. But that may simply be a personal thing and not the same for everyone.
