Featured Ceramic jar (?) that also followed me home from the antique show

It was lonely and I have some brown transferware to keep it company. I did notice that almost all the dealers were selling plain, white ironstone. I got the impression that many of them were selling to the home decorating trade. It's 4" tall and 2 1/2" diameter. It has an old repair, but the price was right and I liked it. I think it's a spill vase.

 

Got 'em. Fielding. Aka Crown Devon later on. Your mark was in use circa 1880-1917. That fits with brown transferware.

It's missing a lid. Sort of domed with a round knop on it.

 

For me, it's going to hold my colored pencils while I work.

 

Good use for it.
