Ceramic flower pot or sugar jar

My mom thinks this is a flower pot and I think this is a sugar jar without the lid. Maybe the lid got broke or is in another box. I would like some help to determine what this object is? Next, neither my mom nor I could figure out who made it because the name is indented into the bottom. I could not find anything on my search on a popular online auction ether. We could read 1961 YOL but the other 2 letters we were unable to figure out. So, I wondered if anyone might be able to help me who made this piece or has YOL with two unreadable letters. Third, what type of flowers are on the front and back of this object? The dimensions are about 4 1/8" top diameter x 3 7/8" bottom diameter x 4 1/4" height. Thank you for assistance in this request. Without a drainage hole, it would make a poor planter. Seems a bit large for a sugar bowl.

Interesting. That surprises me, but I suppose it shouldn't, given how many FTD planters I've seen.

 

I turned the planter vase the other way and see FTDA 1981 now.
I used the new information and I found one probably by same maker as follows
