Featured Ceramic figural character lamp

    I seen something like this before but forgot what these lamps are called.
    At first I thought this was Groucho Marx but now it looks asian to me, anyone know anything about this lamp ?

    Maybe Stan Laurel of Laurel and Hardy? Don't know where it was made though.

    They were just meant to depict a souse clinging to a lamp post. Bulb in nose should be red.

    I think they are commonly referred to as "Drunk at the Lamp Post" Billy. There were a series of items produced with this theme, made in Japan.

    The same design was done in cast iron ash trays and a few other things. They were made right after WWII for basement bars.

    Oh, yes. My mother and aunt gifted each other these lamppost drunks in cast iron, ceramic and chalkware for years. As you can imagine, my family loved to imbibe.
