Cement? Piece of? ...French

    Any ideas what this may have been off of? Said to be from France. Appears to be cement with a lion or bears head. Cylindrical-ish in shape. Possibly an arm rest or hand rail? Only 8” long. Not mine but I find it interesting and may try to get it. Just curious to figure it out. Looks pretty old. Edit: with the lip at one end it almost looks like it could be a vessel of sorts but it wouldn’t stand flat with the animal head at the other end. Anything like this that would be made to lay down? I can’t think of anything in that regard.

    I think yours is the last tile in the line. The one along the edge. The head is a bird stop.

    I knew it would be the last one but didn’t ever think about that being the purpose. That’s cool and makes total sense! If anyone cares to take a stab at the age that would be interesting to hear!
