So I picked up this piece just because I thought it to be intriguing. About 14" tall, appears to be very old. Stated 18th century on the bottom. Unfortunately the figure was missing. Any thoughts on this piece?

    Thanks Steve PXL_20220317_153244011_copy_768x1365.jpg PXL_20220317_153305434_copy_768x1365.jpg PXL_20220317_153635673_copy_768x1365.jpg PXL_20220317_153457441_copy_1365x768.jpg

Has the bottom been replaced? Just curious if those are bandsaw marks on it?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Looks like worm holes in the bottom! So, who's the figure who has gone missing?

typical monastery work. from the date, the uneducated handwriting in capitals and most probably missing crucifix, little papers etc. perhaps bought by a soldier and brought home ? Würzburg had 4 US barracks.
