Featured Cast Iron Door Knocker - Green Man

    I picked this cast iron door knocker up from the thrift not too long ago.

    I would love to know the maker and date. I keep getting "Northwood" from google, but cannot decipher further.

    There are no markings. The pictures are not mine because mine has been sent away for repair, but its the same one. 21" long! 11 LBS!

    I did see this! But I also saw that several of them were "quality resin" whereas this one is cast iron! So id assume it may be the original to the reproduction.

    Just need to know where the original came from! Lol

    If you google "cast iron green man door knocker" you will find quite a few, sometimes called "North Wind". None that I looked at credited any manufacturer. There have been many different cast iron garden decoratives imported from China in recent years. I suspect this might be one.
