I bought this 30 pound thing at a church sale. I could barely carry it out to my car! A magnet sticks, so I think it is cast iron. It's not marked. Measures 9" high and 5" wide. The only comparison I can find online is a counterbalance, maybe for an old sailing ship? It has a flat bottom so it makes a great doorstop. I've also seen something like this used to close a gate. Thank you!

I've used similar as a mudweight on a boat.
Anchor at the bow and mud weight at the stern.
