Carved Mask ?

    Any info on origins - it's hand carved wood, 12" x 8"

    The Green Man usually has more leafy stuff around his face, so I have to agree with Greg. Looks Greek to me.

    Yes it is a Guatemalan mask, Alvarado was governor of Guatemala, Maya territory. Here is some info on the mask and Guatemalan Conquista dances:

    Yours was probably never used in a dance, since it isn't painted. It is a nice, well carved souvenir.
