Featured Carved Cone Shaped Chunky Beads Horn or Amber?

I recently was having fun with a blacklight and was shining it into my vintage jewelry cabinet and was surprised to see a vintage carved bead bracelet come to life! I know it is not bakelite and believed it to be horn. Now, I am not so sure because from research the glow looks like amber.. I have include some pics. Question, does horn fluoresce under uv? If not, then they are most likely amber.?. I guess.. Any help is always appreciated..

Up close you can see the hair-like structure of certain types of horn. I wonder if they are rhino horn.

Ok, so horn.. makes more sense to me visually.. and they did not float like amber. I have no idea what kind of horn.. I have had them for a very very long time. Also, after reading through a couple of other postings I saw the one with the snake bracelets, of which I have 2, and they both have a "glow" to them, but because they were with other bangles, they were shadowed a bit so did not light up the way this thing did.. so this makes sense then.. also, these are large beads..

They're stunning.I really like Ojime Beads but I wouldn't kick these out of the shopping cart.They're little modernist sculptures.

The only thing that doesn't delight me abt them is thinking of the rhino.

 

it's not impossible...but I've never seen rhino horn beads like the OP shows...

I am not 100% sure they are rhino, I only wondered if they are.

 

I agree, didnt get them thinking that is what they were, the bracelet was in a large box lot I acquired of bracelets..

 

while not stating that they are......compared to the round beads I've show.....they do have the look.... that dark butterscotch color... and shading......

 

members here routinely find solid gold items , in box lots of costume jewelry......

so it's possible ...
