    Hi,
Another cane I need help with. I'm wondering if the handle is bone and what kind of wood is the shaft made of? The handle is 4"L.
    Any information appreciated!
    thanks for looking.

Wonder why handle seems to be in two pieces? I can't guess the material but another candidate should be some kind of cast composition.

Have you ruled out resin or plastic? Awfully hard to tell from the picture.
Does not look like ivory if that is what you were thinking.

    thanks folks!
No, it isn't ivory. It isn't bakelite, but maybe some other kind of plastic. I thought bone because of the colours and the texture of it.

If it's celluloid, I'd watch out with that pin.
