Featured Carpentier Jumelles - Burley & Co. Chicago

    I bought these at a local antiques fair. Not sure how old they are. My guess is 1910s or 20s, going by the rather minimalist design. I just think they're adorable!! :eek:

    They're in absolutely flawless condition!! A bit of disassembly to blow out the dust and clean the lenses - and then - PERFECT! :eek:

    Hmm. So I guess I was right-ish. Ca. 1910. I thought it was more 'modern', because it doesn't follow the usual shape that most opera-glasses of the Victorian era seem to do.

    Yes Edwardian era sounds right. Although that said, they do still look surprisingly modern for something that's over 100 years old.
