    Its a repair.I carved a Duck in high school that fell off a shelf or some one picked it up by the head and snapped in the same area.Glued it back just like that.

    In the link case, I guess the head was done separately and mounted on the body. I wonder what’s the technique when there is a long neck.

    I can’t find an example of such a long neck. It doesn’t look like a Canada goose to me.

    I always thought most of the heads were carved separately.......BWDIK :cool::confused:

    I Need Help helped us. Black swan alright. Seems odd to have decoys for swans.....are they good to eat? I've never heard of anyone eating one, at least here in the 21st century.
