Cant find subject matter on this Retablo

    Small retablo. I have searched and searched for anything similar, with no luck, Also am not too sure that this isnt a lithograph on tin, thank you for any insight IMG_6375.JPG IMG_6375.JPG

    It is part of a Calvary. The angels are catching Jesus' holy blood in chalices, the town in the background is meant to be Jerusalem.

    Just noticed, one angel has the nails of the crucifiction in his hands, the other what looks like pliers. These are probably meant as a reference to his burial and resurrection, symbols of hope.

    Oops, crucifixion. And even now I forgot the i's at first. My spelling is getting worse by the minute, you have no idea how many typos were in this post originally:shame:.
