I have a pair of candle holders and would like to find out how old they are and where they come from. I know that they are certainly European. They are not marked, I only found the number 319 on the inside of one part. It seems that they were originally gilded, as there are remains on the inside?
    Any info is highly appreciated!

Thank you komokwa, I think the style could be French, 2nd half of the 19th century, but I am not sure if it's inner life fits in that period?

It's that threaded steel screw ....I'm not sure how old it would be .....but it sure looks modern...

Quality of the casting suggests that these are 19th century. Design says last quarter. French, Austrian, or German would be good bets . If these were well kept, I could see that threaded stem remaining in good shape since it would never be exposed.
