Vintage vanity set has a red mark on back just says Germany in red with a number. Does anyone know who the maker was. SAM_3841.JPG SAM_3839.JPG

It's marked overglaze rather than under.

So basically this was made for export for some import company that would have distributed it.

Time period is probably Pre WWI.
    Nice set.

Thanks for your help, I hunted for a long time to no avail.

The hat pin holder dates it. Once women cropped their hair and did away with big hats, it served no purpose.

The dish with the hole is a "hair receiver". When women brushed their hair, they stuffed what came out into this and then used it to puff out their own hair to make all those elaborate styles.
