Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Is that a spoon, or a ladle? I can't tell what size it is, but just wondered.

I always leave it as is You never know who wants the age/patina or not The struggle is real lmao I hate to see it like it is

Tarnish is NOT patina and in fact will do harm to the silver if not cleaned off.

Dang ! So it is ok to polish the silver? I thought some people get upset?

My parents have sold vintage/antique jewelry and I used to help I brought my husband along and he can't stand to see the tarnish They walked away from the booth and he started polishing She about had a heart attack and yelled at him to stop
He only got a few NA rings done at any rate She glared at him the rest of the day but not 10 minutes after he was asked to stop one of the rings that he put back in the case, that had been selling for years, was snapped right up! I just snickered the rest of the day at her

I thought it was taboo all along

    Thank you

komokwa The Truth is out there...!

    It is for coins.....
but while some folks do like some items with that mat silver look.....most others will agree it started off life with a gleam.....and was likely polished during it's lifetime...... so "polish Away".....happily !

    ( go see Mr. N8 's threads on silver....& wear sunglasses....!!! )
