I've been wondering for years about this piece and others with the same mark handed down to me.

My assumption is that they were purchased by travelers in my family between 1905 and 1910 in China. But, it could be from Europe. I'm told these are a few hundred years old and have been divided among our family members starting in the late 1930s.

I wouldn't think these would be fakes of something but I cannot find this mark anywhere.

Boy, that looks really close. I wonder if there is any value?

The eBay example appears to be of somewhat finer quality and is on offer for $175. Of course, Meissen is widely copied and it might not be genuine.
