Can someone help who has an Artnet subscription?

    Hi all,

    For Christmas this year, my wife gifted me with a lovely painting by a Russian artist - a painting found in a local store here in Australia (half a world away from its origins)!

    I have been trying to research the artist (with very few leads/results), but have discovered he has several auction results on artnet.

    I know it sounds terribly cheap of me to ask - but does anyone here have an artnet subscription? I can't justify a $40 AUD one day pass this close to the holidays just to see auction results on 4 of his paintings.

    As far as I know people can help with valuations but most realize the limitations concerning location etc. If someone can find out auction results they will probably share.

    The sales dates in my link were 1991 and 1993 so accuracy regarding valuation will be very different today. I'm not asking anyone here for a modern valuation, just access to ones from 25 yrs ago.
