I went to an unadvertised estate sale/cleanout today in the next town over. In my pile was this print, bought for no good reason whatever. It's numbered 32/50 and signed, but I have no idea of who, or if it's worth more than the dollar or two I paid for it.

The first one is the title, Plough, and then the 32/50 you mentioned.
    The signature, Beyartj?s ?

That first letter in the name *could* be a D, too, although I think Bey as a beginning looks more logical.

What Any Jewelry said could be a j looks like a z to me. Isn't that an accent mark? First letter may be a J or L or B or D. Not that helpful. :(

It's just as bad in person, if not worse. It looks like Deyarzis? Which makes no sense whatever.

It's got a Depression Era feel about it. There was a print of the month club during the Depression that included images by Benton and Curry. This would have fit in, but it's the wrong size to be from the series.

Keep it. It is beautiful, soulful.
And the artist could turn out to be famous, if you ever find out who it is.;)

I can but hope. If this bunch can't figure it out, it's often a true mystery.

I just love it~ I have been searching many ways on google to find the artist or even another copy of the print. No luck yet! But YES I would say it was worth more then what you paid. I REALLY like it!
You might eMail your pictures of it to an auction house. Rago's has helped me on a few things.

Did you try searching by the name. It's definitely an etching an the title is Plough which means plow. So try running a search etching titled Plough. it might get you a little closer.
