Can anyone read the bottom of this pewter vase?

I think it's supposed to be a pomegranate or something similar. It's hand made and signed with what looks like a dremel. The first word is Pewter. The second is partially obscured by carpet circles someone glued on the bottom of the vase.

    I see "*ontie".
I can't make out what the first letter is.

I have a piece by this person that I think is great with the same signature. I finally found Leon Fontier as the artist. ( at least that's what I wrote on a note to myself).

Here is mine, it's scratched and smudgy as I didn't clean it but I love it. Pewter Fontier 2.jpg Pewter Fontier.jpg

Yes Leon Fontier. I bought some of his work in the 1980s in NYC at the WBAI (radio station) Holiday Craft Fairs. I have one of his printed catalogs, 12 pages, dated 2/93.

Oh cool Stevie, if you have a chance and don't mind sharing I'd love to see your pieces.

Is evelyb30's vase in your catalog? The Worthpoint link that matches this vase is described as 1993.

Off to its new home a while ago too. For a decent if not great profit. :)
